Lifetime is written and published by me, Jude Irwin. I was inspired to do it after both my parents developed dementia. I kept wishing there were more things designed for their needs, so they could keep their skills for as long as possible. I started to volunteer with a local group providing activities for people with dementia, and realised everyone in my situation was looking for something to provide support and fun for the people they cared about. The idea for Lifetime was born while I was driving - it popped into my head almost fully formed, and within months it was a reality. 

It is possible to live well with dementia. For me, seeing people reading Lifetime, laughing at the jokes and recalling their own stories is incredibly heartening and rewarding. People who look after someone with dementia tell me it comes in very handy when they need a distraction, something to cheer them up or something to stimulate a conversation.

I'm funding Lifetime myself for now, and eventually I hope it will be commercially successful. Ultimately, I will be donating a portion of any profits to Chrysalis at Tynedale, the group for which I volunteer.
